Scope
Starting in 2019, this project was initiated with the aim to record underwater structures in order to plan and execute Inspections, Maintenance and Repairs with a significant less cost impact and to achieve the following goals:
- 3D Data capture
- High measurement accuracy & high object resolution
- Continuous data recording
- Measurement in movement
- Available measurement data within a few minutes
- Less deployment offshore
Within the Offshore Wind industry, the sensor can be applicated in the following areas:
- Foundations
- Cables
- Piping & valves
- Piles
- Chains
- Anchors
- Wellheads
- Templates & Manifolds
- Unexploded ordnance (UXO)
- Harbor installations
- Underwater cultural heritage documentation
- e.g.
Outlook
In order to be able to use the sensor on a large scale, we would like to continue working on it with interested partners in the future.
